GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 31, 2018) – Tomorrow, the Furman Paladins’ starting quarterback against Clemson will be Harris Roberts, a student at Clemson.
Roberts, a 6’4″ senior, is completing a dual mechanical engineering program that began with his first three years attending classes at Furman. He’s now in his second year of taking classes at Clemson to complete his degree. The two schools are just over 30 miles apart and Roberts begins each day before dawn, works out, and then drives to Clemson for an 8:00 a.m. class. After classes conclude he drives back for football practice at Furman.
Roberts typically parks near the Tigers’ Memorial Stadium for his classes. This will be his first time venturing into the stadium, where he’ll be greeted by more than 81,500 fans, and 11 classmates across scrimmage eager to meet him.
Kickoff is set for 12:20 p.m. on Saturday.
