Landover, MD – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish held up their #10 ranking by beating Navy, 49-39, on Saturday at FedEx Field. Notre Dame now leads the all-time series 75-12-1.
The Midshipmen (4-5) rang up plenty of offense, scoring five touchdowns and amassing 454 yards. Quarterback Keenan Reynolds threw for two scores but was held out of the end zone on the ground.
Defensively, Navy could do little to stop an Everett Golson led Notre Dame offense that tallied 533 of its own yards from scrimmage. Golson had a hand in six Notre Dames scores, running for three touchdowns and passing for another three. The Irish are now 7-1.
The Mids will host Georgia Southern on November 15 in Annapolis while Notre Dame faces Arizona State (7-1) in Tempe this Saturday.
