Lewisburg, PA – The Navy Midshipmen’s 2014 season saw the curtain fall on Saturday when they dropped a twinbill to Bucknell in the Patriot League playoffs. The Bison (27-17-1) left no doubt in the best-of-three series by winning the first game 15-6 and the nightcap, 8-4, over Navy (23-28).

The Bison advance to play Lehigh (25-22) in the PL championships next weekend. The winner of that series will get an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Pittsburgh, PA – The Maryland Terps (32-19) are peaking at just the right time as they took a seven-game winning streak into Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Panthers (22-26). Mike Shawaryn (9-3) set the all-time record for wins in a season by a Maryland pitcher in earning a 5-1 victory on Saturday in game two of the three-game set.

Maryland aims for its second straight ACC series sweep this afternoon. They can also notch a winning record in the ACC as they enter the contest with a 14-14 in-conference mark.
