Annapolis – With snow drifting down at times, Navy senior Sam Jones let loose a flurry of rifling shots in an 18-5 home win over VMI on Saturday. The Annapolis native had a total of ten points, including four goals and six assists. It was the biggest offensive output from a Mid since Dennis Nealon put up 12 points against Washington College in 1991.

VMI next faces Army (0-1), who dropped a 6-5 decision to UMass at West Point in their opener. Navy will take on Georgetown (0-0) at home.
